As we have been glued to the news in recent days, I am reminded of the words in Ephesians 5:16 that states, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” It is so easy to get overwhelmed with the implications of war and political unrest that we can lose sight of what God is doing on the ground underneath national headlines.

Beneath the political and military battles that we see and hear about, there is an intense spiritual battle taking place for people’s hearts and lives that deserves an even greater sense of urgency from us. For example, did you know that the nation with the fastest growing movement of Christianity is Iran? Yes, that’s what I said! Even in India, the threat of nuclear warfare came to light in its recent conflict with Pakistan. Across the earth, in regions unknown to most, the Lord is motivating leaders and movements to intervene in the atmospheres of evil and spiritual bondage with a light that cannot be extinguished and that will change the world from the inside out. 

HBI is highlighting that urgent call at the upcoming annual pastors conference to be held soon in India—a nation where about one third of the unreached people groups in the world are found. The conference theme says it all: NOW IS THE TIME … To fulfill the Mission of God….engage everyday… enable everyone… excel everywhere. This is a call of urgency to fulfill the mission of God through a fresh 2050 vision of planting 50,000 churches by 2050 through multiplication church planting, disciple-making and leadership development. The ultimate goal is to disciple a whole nation. 

Please pray for the staff, pastors and leaders of HBI as they prepare for what could be the largest and most significant annual conference yet. Pray that many of the 1400 church planting pastors and their wives and church leaders from 26 states will be able to travel to this year’s conference. It is a very difficult trip for most.

Pray with us, HBI Global Partners, that we will be able to find resources among partners like you to cover the cost of the gathering and the travel expenses of the village pastors. They cannot afford this on their own. The budget this year is $85,000. 

Thank you for your faithful focus on this ministry and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. We are all on the front lines of this spiritual battle in prayer and practice. We know that this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness. What a privilege to be a part of His mission fulfilled!
